Throughout the year, us eighth grade students have worked hard on various projects. From powerpoint presentations to symposiums, they have all had some impact on not only our grades, but our perception of life as well. However, I believe that the monster project (English) and the inspirational figure project (P.E) had the greatest influence on my learning experience.

Struggles-Monster Project:

Personally, I get some stage fright when told to speak for a certain amount of time in front of many people. For this reason, I found that presenting the actual project during the symposium was slightly difficult. Since this project to would have a significant impact on my grade, I think that my nerves made the experience harder than it should have been.

Struggles-Inspirational Figure Project:

Before doing this project, I never though about one specific person who inspires me and/or motivates me, since there are several people whom I look up to. Which is why I had trouble choosing just one person. On the other hand, I overcame this struggle by questioning myself in regards to who had the strongest effect on me at the time.

New Insights:

While doing these projects, I've learned many things. For instance, due to the monster project, I know that public speaking isn't as bad as it seems. Although I do still get a little nervous, I think that I've improved my public speaking skills. Additionally, I've gotten better at investigating multiple sources. Furthermore, I learned that many things are achievable in life with confidence and perseverance through these projects.
