"Been locked up in here with the rain coming down, I tried to fool myself to lift up my frown..." - 'Seasonal Depression' by Mxmtoon

Have you ever felt like a part of you was just torn away? Almost as if you feel like a completely different person than you were before. Kind of like, this new lifestyle was such a sudden change, it makes you feel empty.

Around a month and-a-half ago, quarantine had been enforced upon us due to COVID-19. At first, I was ecstatic, thinking it would serve as a break from stress. However, after plenty of reflection, I've realized how much we take advantage of things. Which is why I believe that being grateful for everything you have is crucial in order to be happy.

In my case, being stuck in quarantine has caused me to feel apathetic. In other words, I'm not as happy and enthusiastic like I used to be. Now, don't get me wrong, I was definitely one to complain about having to go to school. What I didn't know, though, is that school was one of my only forms of interaction with others my age.

Ultimately, society has abruptly changed. People can't physically see their friends nor family. We can hardly even go outside our houses unless we're wearing a protective mask. For this reason, I believe that nothing should be taken for granted, since you never know when it'll all disappear.
